🔥 Fire Ops 2025 🔥
Today, members of the Arlington Heights Village Board and leadership joined L3105 for a full day of Fire Ops — stepping into our world and experiencing the challenges firefighters face every day.
From ascending in the aerial ladder, advancing charged hoselines, and working through live fire conditions, to using the “jaws of life” in vehicle extrication, every participant rose to the occasion. Together, they conquered fears, pushed outside their comfort zones, and gained firsthand understanding of the skills and commitment it takes to protect our community.
We’re incredibly grateful to our Village leadership for dedicating the time to walk in our boots. Your participation strengthens the partnership between our firefighters and the community we proudly serve.

Today we pause to honor the memory of the 2,977 innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001, including the 343 FDNY firefighters, 23 NYPD officers, and 37 Port Authority police officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to others.
As firefighters, we carry their legacy in our hearts and in our duty every day. Their courage, commitment, and selflessness remind us of the true meaning of service.
On this solemn anniversary, we stand united with our brothers and sisters across the fire service, with the families who continue to grieve, and with a nation that vowed never to forget.
Arlington Heights Firefighters Association L3105 honors the fallen, supports the survivors, and reaffirms our dedication to protecting our community—just as they did on that fateful day.

Today we honor the contributions of working men and women across the country—and the labor movement that fought to secure fair wages, safe workplaces, and the dignity of collective bargaining.
For firefighters and paramedics here in Arlington Heights, Labor Day is a reminder of the strength we find in unity. Together, we stand up for the resources, staffing, training, and protections needed to keep both our members and our community safe.

The IAFF Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health Treatment and Recovery is a one-of-a-kind addiction treatment facility specializing in PTSD for IAFF members – and IAFF members only – who are struggling with addiction, PTSD other related behavioral health challenges to receive the help they need in taking the first steps toward recovery. It is a safe haven for members to talk with other members who have faced or overcome similar challenges.
