Local 3105 is sharing this with heavy hearts.
Chicago Firefighter Mike Altman, Truck 47, was critically injured on March 16 while performing a primary search, falling through the floor into a room fully involved in fire. After fighting in the burn unit at Cook County Hospital, he tragically passed from his injuries.
Mike was more than a firefighter, he was a devoted husband and father, with a young child at home and another on the way. His family now faces an unimaginable road ahead.
We ask our community to come together to support the Altman family, whether through donations, sharing this fundraiser, or keeping them in your thoughts. Our thoughts and prayers are also with all of his brothers and sisters of Local 2 during this incredibly difficult time.
